The Princess and the Pea

The princess of this tale arrives at a castle door drenched and looking very unprincess-like. To test her, the queen of the castle hides a pea under 100 mattresses. When the girl is so sensitive that she can still feel the pea and so does not sleep well, the queen decides she is indeed a princess. In this reversible doll, the princess tries to sleep in a flannel nightgown with a nightcap, but still has rings under her eyes. Turn her over to find her in true princess garb. Approximately 14" tall. As with all of my dolls, this is my own copyrighted pattern. She comes with her story in a small, handmade book.
